A Middle aged woman presented with chronic left groin pains when she does yoga.
Found over active Lt Adductors which inhibits Lt Gluteus Medius (abductors), External & Internal Obliques. She also had a tucked sacrum (from sitting incorrectly) and a sheared pubic symphysis – likely from giving birth 17 years ago. Lt Also Femoral head decr External rotation.
Adjusted the sacrum and pelvis, ART, Cupping and Rocktape to Adductors. Adjusted Femur head and released with muscle energy work.
Gave Adductor stretches (triangle etc) and Abductor (Glut Medius) strengthening (monster walks) and a modified Pigeon pose to further release the Femur head.
On a follow up visit, found hypertonic Lt Piriformis and Quadratus Femoris. Released those and increased hip ER by 20 degrees, more than over the past 17 years since her son’s birth!
