The patient is an athletic female in her late 50s with recent bilateral hip replacements. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
She presents with a hot low back from bending forward to pick something up. She also reports that her groins feel very tight. She stated that she has been under a lot of family stress over the past year, and over the past month in particular.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Evaluation revealed a hypertonic Rt Lumbar Multifidus and bilateral shortened Psoas. The pelvis is sheared, putting pressure on the L5 disc. Both Iliacus and Gluteus Medius are weak.
Neuro emotional evaluation reveals an active ICV (Iliocecal valve) which cross tests to the Emotional Neurovascular System and directly correlates with the acupuncture Wood element.
The ICV often directly correlates with the emotional body since polypeptides of emotion are found in the fascia of the body. And when active, it commonly triggers the low back via a visceral-somatic reflex.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Used #SOT blocks to correct the pelvic shear. Used #NET (neuro emotional technique) to clear the gut reflex. Adjusted the spine as needed. Balanced the muscles with #ART (Active Release Technique). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Sent patient home with Psoas stretches and foods to avoid while the ICV relaxes.
