Here are some ideas on continuing to maintain your health and sanity, however this time is affecting your schedule:
- Stay on a schedule, even if you’re not leaving home. Get up and go to sleep at the same time each day.
- Get into a regular exercise regimen. That could be the 7-minute workout (App store), Beach Body videos, or online yoga classes: Try Yoga International or Yoga Glo . A lot of local yoga studios are also now offering online classes.
- Limit stimulants (alcohol, sugar, coffee) and eat good healthy food. We’re not moving as fast-paced and don’t need the usual aids to get through the day.
- Control your stress levels by limiting your newsfeed times (especially late night before bed), taking walks, catching up with old friends and family around the world via WhatsApp, Facebook or other social medial Apps.
- Meditate – even if you’ve never done it before, just sit comfortably and set a timer for 5 minutes to start, and just observe your breathing in & out through your nose. When your mind wanders and you catch yourself, just start again. There are now also plenty of good Apps for stress management and meditation.
