This has been a very busy Fall at Innate Chiropractic.
Here’s a quick synopsis of what I’ve been up to:
Here’s a quick synopsis of what I’ve been up to:
- I traveled to Huntington Beach in September for a three day movement symposium put on by Rocktape. The focus was proper breathing as being key to function. And I am now using some new techniques to help you find your breath again!
- In October I went to Chicago to study with Dr Craig Liebenson, a leader in the field of cutting edge rehab through functional movement. and am excited to be incorporating more exercise-based protocols in my work as a consequence.
- Dr Craig’s approach focuses on the hierarchy of Function (aka Software) over Structure (aka Hardware). In other words, correcting patterns in the body is longer lasting than just fixing parts. The result is a more confident you, so that you can be active in your life outside of training and treatment. Many people avoid activities and movement because of fear of pain and damage. But as I learned, without stress in the body, there is atrophy, and proper movement brings about wear and repair, not wear and tear. The bottom line is that rest equals rust, so lets get you functional and moving!
