Flora McMartin is a 2018 graduate of the Advanced Studies Program at the Yoga Room in Berkeley, CA. She has been practicing yoga for 15 years, and she continues to study with Debbie Gilman and Scotty McCaully. Flora is an avid biker, hiker, and solid “blue run” downhill skier; her yoga practice strengthens all of these activities. While teaching yoga is her passion, for more than 30 years, she conducted research on teaching and learning in higher education. This work, and her experience as a yoga student, directly informs Flora’s philosophy of teaching: to make yoga available and accessible to everyone. If you are curious about yoga, unsure if it’s the thing for you, or want to pick it up again, Flora will join you in discovering a yoga practice that meets your needs.
